In the 1920s five road races were held on public roads around Tuscany. The races were revived in 1955 and in 1964 the Mugello Grand Prix ran on public roads with eight laps of 66 km per lap. Running in Targo Floria fashion, and using some roads from the Mille Miglia.
The purpose-built Mugello International circuit was opened in 1974 then later bought by Scuderia Ferrari. Ferrari upgraded “the Mugello” as it is now known and the circuit represents a state-of-the-art FIA-approved circuit. Safety was paramount in the design with large run-off areas for safety and there are excellent viewing facilities for the spectator.
The Mugello circuit has been used for MotoGP, Super Bikes, Formula 2 Formula 3000, Formula 1 testing, and Group C Sports cars. It has been on and off the home to the Italian MotoGP since the days of Barry Sheene who won its first race in 1976.
Just north of Rome and a short distance from Florence, join us in the beautiful Tuscany countryside at the Mugello MotoGP! Known as a modern circuit with excellent facilities, this 3.259-mile track has been renovated to the highest standards combining hard braking zones followed by fierce high-speed corners, tight and flowing curves, long straights, and off-camber corners. Cheer among the Italians as you watch the two-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia race among 21 of the best of the best riders in the world.
And when you’re not sitting at the edge of your seat watching the intense battles among the high adrenaline action, take a stroll through one of the oldest, most historic centers of the world, Florence. Considered the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, some of the most iconic and distinctive landscapes are here along with some of the most famous museums in the world. From nature to sports, food and wine, museums and art, there is something here for everyone.

Due to traffic congestion and parking restrictions there is a considerable walk from the motor coach into the circuit, approximately 45 minutes. This event is not suitable for anyone with difficulties walking.

The Platinum Hospitality Terrace is located over the Centrale Grandstand, the most exclusive and prestigious area of Mugello Circuit. From the Platinum Terrace, you can enjoy the excitement of the starting/finish grid as well as the breathtaking view of Correntaio, Palagio, Biondetti and Bucine turns.
The Platinum Area is frontal from the podium, so you can enjoy the award ceremony from a privileged point. Guests can follow the live race through the 65" TV monitors situated on the terrace, in addition to the two video walls located on the starting/finish grid and close to Biondetti turns.
