Grand Prix Tours has been orchestrating inclusive and convenient travel packages to the Canadian Grand Prix for more than 40 years and 2027 will be no different. Montreal plays a gracious host to Formula 1 fans like few other cities in the world. As the winter fades and spring is in the air, the people of Montreal are ready for some fun in the sun and the Grand Prix weekend is just that.
Constructed on a man-made island in the middle of the St. Lawrence River the race is held at the famed Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The circuit was named after the Quebec native and winner of the first Canadian Grand Prix held in Montreal. This 2.710 miles or 4.361 km track has played host to the Canadian Grand Prix 61 times with 2027 marking the 62nd. The track is made up of 14 turns, 7 left and 7 right and has an elevation change of roughly 18 feet at its highest point.
This is one of our favorite races and cities on the F1 calendar and we have an array of accommodations at several hotels right in the center of Montreal. We highly suggest using the pass not only for getting to and from the track at your leisure but also to explore the many local attractions the city has to offer.
Guests are usually surprised to learn that it is not only the metro system that is located underground, there is also a vast network of pedestrian walkways, shops and restaurants to explore below the city.
Take in the quaint French charm of old town Montreal and the Grande Roue de Montréal, Canada's largest observation wheel giving riders a birds eye view of the city and the surrounding area. Enjoy a cruise on the saint Lawrence river via the Bateau-Mouche, visit the Casino de Montreal and enjoy the F1 street festivals in The Golden Mile downtown district of Montreal.
Montreal has a uniquely European feel, French is the official language and the city is the second largest French-speaking city in the world, after Paris. Not to worry, however; as English is a close second and visitors have little trouble communicating and exploring.

Take the metro to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for the Canadian Grand Prix Formula 1 practice and F1 qualifying. Tonight, join us for our F1 Race Preview Get-Together.
Sunday, May 23*:
Travel via metro to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve to watch the 2027 Canadian Grand Prix. Spend the evening taking in the sights and sounds of Montreal!
Monday, May 24*:
Make your way to Trudeau Airport (YUL) for your return flight home or continue your vacation.

Airport to each downtown hotel: 30 min
As the Canadian Grand Prix at the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit is located on the island and parking is extremely limited, it is best to take the metro. Travel time varies between 10-15 minutes from each downtown hotel. Please allow plenty of time to walk to your grandstand from the metro station Jean Drapeau.
Transfer times may vary, due to the Canadian Grand Prix traffic and weather conditions.

A multiple race winner and podium finisher in GP2, Karun was a test driver for the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team in 2007 and 2008, before going on to race in Formula 1 for Hispania Racing and Team Lotus in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
Karun has developed a reputation as one of the most well-respected analysts currently working in Formula I, deriving his expertise from his varied racing career. Prior to racing in Formula 1 he raced in British F3, GP2, A1 Grand Prix and has since competed in Formula E, the World Endurance Championship and the Le Mans 24 Hours. Previously he worked as a pitlane reporter for the BBC and Channel 4 before moving to Sky Sports F1 in 2020 as a contributing analyst and commentator.

Situated in the tough Senna corner Grandstand 11 offers great views of the start finish straight, turn 1 and turn 2. Especially exciting at the start of the race. A little bit of a hike but definitely worth it. This grandstand is uncovered with bench style seating.

Located at turn 2 in the Senna Corner Grandstand 12 provides great views of turn 1, turn 2 and the cars coming out of the pits. Guests also get a view of the cars climbing up to turn 3 with the Montreal skyline in the background. Especially exciting at the start of the race. A little bit of a hike but definitely worth it. This grandstand is uncovered with bench style seating.

Situated directly in front of the hairpin Grandstand 15 is one of the best spots for late braking and overtakes. This grandstand is also one of the closest grandstands to the metro station at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. This grandstand is uncovered with bench style seating.

Very close to the action the "Platine" Grandstand (AKA Platinum Grandstand) is an ultra-comfortable viewing location that is covered (the only stand that is covered, you may have some sun during the day depending on the position of the sun) and features individual seats with seat backs. The Platinum Grandstand is located inside the track between the starting grid and the Senna corner. You will see the cars decelerating before braking to your right and negotiating the very tight and famous sequence left-right-left. A big screen TV is opposite this grandstand.
