Guests joining us for the Belgian Grand Prix should be ready to be a part of racing history. Initially built in 1921 the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps has been a mainstay in motor racing since the very early days of the sport. Initially used for motorcycle racing and then for a 24 hour Le Mans style race, it wasn’t until 1925 that Formula 1 racing was first held at the circuit. It is our recommendation that guests joining us on this trip fly into either Cologne Bonn international airport or Düsseldorf international airport. Roughly an 8-hour flight from New York and an 11-hour flight from Los Angeles, guests traveling from the states are not far from what some consider to be the heart of F1 racing.
The circuit, known as the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, has now held an F1 race more than 75 times since 1925. Located in the village of Francorchamps near the town of Spa, where the term spa originated, the area is known for racing and for its many natural mineral hot springs. The circuit is made up of a total of 20 turns, 11 to the right and 9 to the left. A lap at the circuit’s current configuration comes in at 4.35 miles or 7 kilometers and has an awe inspiring 335 feet or 102 meters of elevation change during a lap. The official Formula 1 lap record at Spa-Francorchamps is 1:40.510, set by Oscar Piastri in his McLaren during Sprint Qualifying in July 2025.
Drivers favor the Belgian Grand Prix because of the long straights, dramatic elevation change and extremely fast corners. Fans enjoy the race for the same reasons but also because of the inclement weather that often plays havoc with team strategy and track drive ability. Guests joining us at the Belgian Grand Prix can expect a race experience they will never forget. Our package includes 4-night accommodations at one of our favorite hotels, we will take care of ordering and confirming your chosen race tickets, track transfers to and from the circuit on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and a gourmet dinner leading up to the race weekend. This is certainly one of our most popular tours and it is one that we most highly recommend year in and year out – a must see for any race fan!
The Novotel Aachen City is located in the heart of Aachen's city center close to many shops and restaurants. While on this amazing trip our chosen hotel accommodations are located in the German city of Aachen. The city of Aachen is Germany’s most westerly city, uniquely situated on the border of the Netherlands and Belgium. Roughly an hour and a half away from the circuit Aachen has an extremely rich history dating back thousands of years.
Located not far from our chosen accommodations is old town Aachen where there are several local attractions worth exploring while not at the track. Perhaps none more famous than the Aachen Cathedral, the first UNESCO World Heritage site in Germany, the cathedral is the final resting place of Charlemagne or Charles the Great. The building is a visually stunning display of a unique blend of Carolingian, Ottonian and Gothic architecture. Between the years of 936 to 1531 the building saw the coronation of thirty-one German kings and twelve queens.
Other local attractions include the Cathedral Treasury, also a part of the same UNESCO World Heritage site, which houses one of Europe’s most extensive collections of Medieval liturgical art and the Rathaus which is currently Aachen’s city hall and the former location of Charlemagne’s imperial palace. Also, worth noting, just outside the city is the Three-Country Point which is the exact location where the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany meet. This unique geographic location makes for a great walk and photo opportunity.
As we mentioned Aachen and the surrounding areas have an extremely rich history and one could spend several days exploring them all but let us not lose sight of why we are here; it is for the F1 racing history that has happened and that will happen once again over the Belgian Grand Prix race weekend. The Grandstand Gold 8 - Source Start overlooks the legendary La Source hairpin where spectators will be able to see down the barrel of the main straight. This is a sought-after grandstand and a fantastic spot to see cars charge towards the first corner.
From this grandstand, you will also have a view of the hard acceleration zone out of La Source, the last few garages, and the end of the pit lane. As an added bonus, you will also see the pre-race grid further up the straight, as well as the checkered flag as the winner crosses the finish line.
The Gold 8 - Source Start grandstand includes a covered roof, numbered seating and views of a large television screen, so you can keep up with all the action around the circuit. (This is the closest stand to our parking area)

Eau Rouge, stands at the top of the hill at Eau Rouge, a prime location overlooking one of Formula 1’s most exciting and celebrated corners. This is a superb vantage point to see cars racing uphill at unbelievable speed before sweeping to the left and into Raidillon.
From this grandstand, you will also have a bird’s-eye view of the charge out of La Source and down the straight, including a clear view up to the pit lane exit. The Gold 3 - Eau Rouge grandstand includes a covered roof, numbered seating and views of a large television screen, so you can keep up with all the action around the circuit.

Nestling in a lush green area, the paddock at Spa is quite compact and so all of the teams competing on the race weekend are clustered together in an area just a few hundred square meters in size. It is also one of the few exceptions in which the garages are at a different ground level compared to the Motorhome dedicated area. This makes the Spa circuit even more special. The Paddock Club' is in the pit building and provides a spectacular, wide-ranging overview of the hilly sections typical of the circuit. The package includes access to the Ferrari Formula 1 Club for the race weekend, driver appearances, private visit to the Ferrari pits, pit lane walkabouts at certain set times, open bar and gourmet buffet lunch, and various exclusive gifts.
