Join Grand Prix Tours as we head to Singapore for the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix. Not only is this event a night race on a street circuit but it is one hell of a party also. Come experience the excitement of Formula 1 and world-class entertainment from a truly global ensemble of entertainers. Previous headliners have included Gwen Stefani, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Muse.
Additional nights are recommended as flight times are rather lengthy, at roughly 18 hours from either New York or Los Angeles. Also recommended is some sort of rain gear. Being September in Singapore, wet weather is usually a factor. The weather also plays havoc on the track, with the Singapore Grand Prix holding the unusual distinction of having had one race with no safety car deployed at some point during each of the 23 races.
Our chosen hotel accommodations are only about a ten-minute walk from the track. The Marina Bay Street Circuit is not only an impressive entertainment venue, but the circuit is unique as well. The track comes in at 3.146 miles or 5.063 kilometers long. The circuit is relatively flat with only about 15 feet or 5 meters of elevation change throughout the lap. Due to the tight corners and narrow track width, only 59% of a lap is taken at full speed. Tire management and pit stop strategy usually play a very important role in the outcome of this race.
The Marina Bay Circuit is one of the most physically demanding on the calendar, its bumpy street surface coupled with humid conditions giving the drivers plenty to think about. Even after a 2023 layout change reducing the number of corners from 23 to 19, they are working the wheel a lot, too, around the high-speed lap – the physical stress causing them to lose as much as 3kg in body weight over the course of a race.
The circuit’s layout provides very close racing and dramatic moments, making it a thrilling spectacle.

This is a fantastic spot to watch from as the cars enter a challenging section of the circuit before the Anderson Bridge. The stunning National Gallery of Singapore is the backdrop as the cars fly past with sparks in the night sky. This is the best stand if you are staying in the nearby Peninsular Excelsior Hotel as it is only a short walk from the hotel into Zone 4. If you have a Zone 4 ticket (which Padang is) though please note you will not be able to enter any other zone including Zone 1 where some live music takes place. The headline acts will all play in Zone 4 in the Padang area so Padang is the most convenient option for the evening headline concert acts.

The Turn 1 Grandstand is next to the Pit Grandstand, but further down the straight. It offers a great view of the opening complex of corners, which has often caught drivers out. In 2017, Kimi Raikkonen, Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen were all caught out, crashing out at the first turn. You’ll also get a great view of the pit exit to see whether a driver has executed their strategy to perfection.

The Pit Grandstand at the Marina Bay Circuit stretches the length of the starting grid. It stretches back roughly 20 rows from the edge of the circuit, putting fans at the front right in the midst of the action. Fans at the back of the stand will have a great panoramic view of the cars exiting the final corner, bursting down the straight and towards turn Opposite the impressive pit building and under the bright lights, this is where the atmosphere of the Singapore Grand Prix is best felt before the race.
