It is no secret that Dutch race fans are some of the most ravenous and well-traveled race fans in the world but they won’t have to go far for this one. For U.S. race fans it’s a trip over the pond with New York only 4.5 hours away from Schiphol Airport (AMS) and Los Angeles about 10.5 hours away.
The circuit is located just off the beach in the sand dunes north of the city Zandvoort where the circuit gets its name, Circuit Zandvoort. The track is made up of 15 turns 5 to the left and 10 to the right. The track, after its most recent renovations has a total length of 2.676 mi or 4.307 km. The circuit has an elevation change 26 feet or 7.92 meters at its highest point. Changes to the circuit have been made to help quell driver opinions on the lack of overtaking ability at the previous track.

The Pit grandstand is on the outside (left-hand side) of the Zandvoort circuit layout. It sits about half-way along the start / finish straight.
The grandstand is directly opposite the F1 garages and next to the start line. The seats in the Pit grandstand are chairs with a folding seat base (uncovered). There are 2 TV screens visible from the Pit grandstand on top of the pit lane buildings directly opposite the stand. The start / finish straight is one of the Zandvoort DRS zones, so there’s often some overtaking in the braking zone for Turn 1.

There are toilets and drinks vendors directly beneath this grandstand. There are numerous other food and drinks stands right behind it.

The Ben Pon grandstand is located on the outside (left-hand side) of the start / finish straight on the Zandvoort track (uncovered).
It’s the closest of all the grandstands along the main straight to the final corner, Turn 14. Ben Pon 1 is the upper section of the stand.

The Arena 1 (on the inside of Turn 12) has an incredible atmosphere. The seats are chairs with folding bases and a fixed back (uncovered). There are food, drink and merchandise vendors in the area behind the Arena grandstands and bars directly beneath the stand. There’s also plenty of restrooms here. Turn 11 is at the end of one of the Zandvoort DRS zones so is a hot spot for overtaking. It’s also a difficult braking zone so you’re likely to see a couple of cars skip across the gravel on the inside of Turn 12.
Everything you need to survive the day can be found in this area. You don’t need to cross back over to the outside of the track unless you want to visit the F1 Fanzone or explore some of the other areas around the circuit.

The Eastside 3 grandstand is located on the outside (left-hand side) of the Zandvoort track layout next to Turn 11. The seats are chairs with a fixed back and folding base (uncovered). There’s the huge ‘Jumbotron’ tv screen on the inside of the apex of Turn 11 that’s right in front of the stand on the left hand side. This is visible by everyone. There’s a long row of food, drink and merchandise vendors directly behind the Eastside grandstand and restrooms directly beneath.
From the stand you can see the track to your right as far as the bridge. But the people in the stand to your right make that a little harder
You then have a great view of Turns 11 and 12 and lose the cars out of sight to the left of the grandstand as they accelerate towards Turn 13.
