Indy 500

The Indianapolis 500 is as American as apple pie and every mile of the race is history in the making. With 2027 being the 111th year of the event the aerodynamics of these modern cars and speeds reaching 240 miles per hour would have been unthinkable in the early days.

The race experience today is extraordinary with track side accommodation such as the Tower Terrace Suite or Gasoline Alley Suite, a fully enclosed air conditioned suite with closed circuit TVs as well as a private grandstand for outside viewing. Saturday is yours to enjoy as you explore the many attractions, shops, and restaurants throughout Indianapolis before taking in the excitement of the downtown Indy 500 Parade festivities. On race morning, the adventure continues with a police-escorted transfer directly to the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Upon arrival, you’ll want to make your way to your seats as the pre-race pageantry begins almost immediately. From the stirring rendition of “Back Home Again in Indiana” to the flyover, driver introductions, and patriotic traditions that make the Indy 500 so special, the atmosphere is truly unforgettable.

Hyatt Regency Indianapolis Downtown

This 4-star property has recently completed a multi-million-dollar renovation, it is located in the heart of Indianapolis and surrounded by the vibrant downtown food scene and nightlife. Each room features plush Hyatt Grand Beds®, deluxe KenetMD™ bath amenities, free Wi-Fi, and a spacious work area. You will feel right at home with thoughtful amenities like a 49” LED HDTV, in-room refrigerator, coffeemaker, and CubieBlue Bluetooth music player and alarm clock. We recommend making reservations at The Eagle's Nest,  serving classic American dishes, but also for the unbeatable skyline views – the restaurant sits at the top of the Hyatt and is the only revolving restaurant in Indiana. This beautiful hotel also offers a 24-hour fitness center and an indoor pool.

Please contact us for extra night prices.

The City of Indianapolis

Indianapolis like most American Cities has change over the years. However each year on Memorial Day weekend the changes are electric, the city fills to capacity as the enormous crowds visit for the Indy 500. There are many races named after the city the race is in, but I cannot think of a city named after a race like Speedway, Indiana. It`s all about tradition. Like the restaurant we try to visit every year, it is where all the racers and teams all eat during the month of May; it`s where the retired drivers go. The restaurant, St Elmo's Steak House where the shrimp cocktail`s are to die for (go easy on the horseradish); we will reserve a table for you if you want.

On Memorial Day weekend, the Indy 500 is more famous than the city. Everywhere you go around the city it is all about the 500. The Festival Parade on Saturday fills the streets in celebration of the 500. When you go to your hotel the lobby has banners from the 500`s sponsors. Talk in all the restaurants is about; you've guessed it, The 500.

Take in the atmosphere and the passion for the race and don`t forget to visit the newly renovated Indy 500 Museum, it's steeped in racing history. On Saturday we will take you to Gasoline Alley  and the drivers introductions.

If you haven`t experienced the 500 you should go. If you have been, take someone who has not, they will remember it for life.
