The history, the victories, the crisis and triumphs… the British Grand Prix has it all! So it`s only fitting that what started out as a normal grand prix weekend in 2011 ended with a little bit of drama.
Silverstone`s shiny new facelift and record crowds were greeted with typical British weather. Dry conditions in front of the new Silverstone `wing` complex prior to the race were in stark contrast to those down at Maggots and along the Hangar straight. The freakish wet/dry scenario must have been a dream for the teams… At this point of the season Red Bull was still on top but all it took were a couple of mistakes before Fernando Alonso and Ferrari denied Red Bull another victory by gaining their first win of the season. Oh, yes, then there were the diffuser arguments and even a Michael Schumacher penalty thrown in for good measure - just another quiet weekend on the F1 circus at Silverstone!
We can`t wait to see what happens in 2012, we hope you can be there too!
