Tour Hosts
Each of our race personalities is not only a great driver, but also an extraordinary storyteller. They make the time away from the track an event in its own right as they share their racing experiences. Their insights will change the way you understand racing, with tales about people and places, cars and races... incidents and experiences that are now so funny in retrospect. We promise you an experience you will remember and share with your friends.
Phil Hill
Phil has hosted many of our events since 1987 when he hosted the Italian Grand Prix & Extravaganza tour. Our Maranello visits in the past were such a successful program that the tours sell out over a year in advance. Due to popular demand, we asked Phil if he would host the 2003 San Marino Grand Prix. We are excited that he agreed, and look forward to the tour with great anticipation.
Matt Bishop
As the editor in chief of "F1 Racing" - the largest selling Formula One magazine in the world, available in over 100 countries and in over 20 languages - Matt Bishop is one of the best informed and most connected journalists in the Formula One paddock. He flies around the world with Ron Dennis and Max Mosley; has drinks with Mika Hakkinen and Jenson Button; and knows the insides of every Formula One factory and motorhome. Always entertaining and witty, Matt brings to the stage of the Grand Prix Tours hosted parties the same charm and insight that have become his trademark in the magazine.
James Allen
Has been a host with Grand Prix Tours since 1993, when he worked as a pit announcer for ESPN on Formula 1 with Bob Varsha and Derek Daly. In 1997, he joined the British ITV network, first as a pit announcer then last year he took over from the legendary Murray Walker as ITVs lead announcer. He commentates alongside ex-Benetton and Tyrrell driver Martin Brundle. James and Martin broadcast every race live to the UK as well as Canada, Australia, South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Middle East. Conservative estimates put the audience figure at around 35 million per live broadcast! James also writes for the London Financial Times newspaper on F1. He lives in West London with his wife Pip, a photographer, and his baby son Enzo, named after guess who?
Bob Constandurous
The on-circuit commentator and official press conference mediator at all Grands Prix, has spent over 30 years in motorsport journalism. He joined the world-famous Autosport magazine in 1972, but after five years went freelance, traveling the world covering every significant form of motorsport: Formula One, IndyCars, rallying, sports cars, touring cars and club racing. Having begun his commentating career at the Le Mans 24-hour race in the late seventies, he has also worked as a TV presenter and commentator for the BBC and with TV companies in South Africa, Hong Kong, Australia and France. Bob is married with two sons, one of whom is a kart racer.
Peter Windsor
Presently the on-site Speed Channel reporter for all Formula One events, Peter also writes for the F1 Racing and works with many of the sponsors and drivers in the area of public relations development.
