- This was the first time to Indianapolis during a race weekend. I am really glad I went. I am very satisfied with the GP tours company and staff. I really want to travel aborad for F1 races and I fell very confident that the trip will be well planned by attentive and knowledgeable staff who have experience managing these events.
So many thoughts come to mind at the mere mention of the Indy 500 and the feeling is indescribable as you walk under the track and emerge in the infield. You can feel the history here and since the Indy 500 is over 100 years old there is no shortage of stories to tell!
2011`s race was literally a photo finish as Dan Wheldon scored his second Indianapolis 500 victory (only 18 drives have had the distinction of winning 2 Indy 500 races) in dramatic fashion, barely edging past rookie J.R. Hildebrand in the final turn before Hildebrand crashed into the outer wall.
